Perpetuum has secured an important contract with Network Rail. The contract, which means Perpetuum will provide ongoing services to Network Rail for track condition analysis, comes after 12 months of development work with the national rail infrastructure owners.

Perpetuum has won its first major contract in the Asia-Pacific market with Metro Trains Melbourne. Metro Trains Melbourne has ordered a pilot of Perpetuum’s powerful services across its Alstom X’Trapolis trainsets, to effectively monitor its bearings and wheels. Working with Perpetuum in this way, Metro Trains Melbourne intends to significantly extend maintenance overhauls by moving towards condition monitored maintenance.

An Intelligent Power Module (IPM), which is a plug-and-play form, function and fit replacement of the standard Honeywell OEM battery pack, has been released by Perpetuum. With the IPM, Honeywell XYR 6000 wireless transmitters can accept external power in the form of vibration, thermal, solar and 24VDC, with no user configuration issues.
