Upgraded shelf manager provides improved security functions
The ACB-V, a shelf manager from Pentair, has been upgraded to include the ShMM 700 module from Pigeon Point Systems. Supporting the latest Linux kernel, the ACB-VI shelf manager provides improved security functions and extended software functionality. The Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) has been considered and upgraded. Using an FPGA, data integrity is improved via radial IPMI.
PCB Card Loks reduce downtime and maintenance costs
For applications that place particularly high demands on resistance to shock and vibration, such as the defense systems and the aerospace industry, Pentair offers various types of Calmark Card Loks from the Schroff brand. In addition to securing the PCB and dissipating heat, these Card Loks offer significant advantages in assembly and maintenance, reducing down times and costs.
Textile EMC gasket fills previous temperature gap of 70-85°C
Previously, the choice of EMC shielding for Schroff cases, subracks or systems has consisted of stainless steel gaskets for temperature ranges in excess of 85°C, or textile gaskets for temperatures below 70°C. Closing the gap, Pentair has announced that it is offering a textile EMC gasket, covering an extended temperature range of up to 85°C.
Pentair present innovative subracks, enclosures & cabinets
Pentair will present the latest products from its Schroff brand with the Interscale case platform taking centre stage. Other product highlights in B1.243 will include MicroTCA and AdvancedTCA systems, subracks, electronics cabinets, the online Interscale M configurator tool and the Schroff Park2Power charging system.
Protection solutions website becomes global
A global website which provides electrical and electronic protection solutions has been launched by Pentair. Pentairprotect.com is available in English, French, German, Russian and Spanish. This will replace websites hoffmanonline.com, schroff.biz, calmark.com, birtcherproducts.com and mcleancoolingtech.com.
Cold-aisle containment key to data centre energy costs
By implementing cold-aisle containment – that is consistently separating the cold supply air from the hot exhaust air – the energy costs of data centres can be significantly reduced. Measurements in data centres have demonstrated reductions in energy costs of some 30% by using this technique. In response to this Pentair has standardised its aisle containment components to create a modular system that enables containment to be configur...
Cabinets protect sensitive IT equipment
One of the principal tasks of a data centre is ensuring the security of the data, with appropriate access protection to sensitive IT equipment being critical. The Schroff Varistar colocation cabinet series has been developed specifically for IT infrastructure and climate-controlled data centres and is available with two, three or four compartments in eight different cabinet dimensions and versions.
Cabinet with increased 1600kg static load-carrying capacity
Just as the demands on data centres are in continual change, the demands on the physical IT infrastructure itself also change. Pentair continues to develop its IT products such as the trusted Schroff Varistar server and network cabinet. By means of a design change the static load-carrying capacity has been increased to 1600kg and further accessory parts have been developed for extra functionality and flexibility.
