Oxford Instruments Installs its 1000th X-Max

Oxford Instruments NanoAnalysis, the world leader in Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) solutions for electron microscopes, has completed the installation of its 1000th X-Max. The X-Max was only introduced to the market a little over two years ago and remains the only detector in the world that offers an 80mm2 sensor area. First PECVD films on 450mm wafers

The wafers were processed using the recently launched Oxford Instruments PlasmaPro® NGP®1000 PECVD system, which is capable of coating single wafer substrates up to 450mm diameter or larger batches of smaller diameter wafers.
