While cities across Europe report increasing air pollution as lockdown eases, ODS, the company whose frontline staff collect waste and keep Oxford clean, has achieved a milestone on the road to becoming a zero carbon city, helping to maintain the current lower air pollution levels, with a rapid charger for fleet vehicles.

Oxford Direct Services (ODS) has played a role as Principal Contractor for the residential trial of ‘pop up’ on-street electric vehicle charging points. The ‘OxPops’ trial comprises six ‘UEone’ retractable (‘pop up’) pavement bollards installed on the north eastern end of Lonsdale Road in North Oxford.

It has been announced that Oxford Direct Services (ODS) has been approved as an authorised service dealer for the world’s first purpose built electric taxi; the TX. Under a three-year agreement, ODS will join a network of LEVC dealers outside London servicing TX black cabs, carrying out warranty work, supplying parts, responding to any breakdowns and undertaking body repairs in its insurance approved body repair centre.
