New CEO for OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Asia
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Asia Ltd. has a new CEO. Louis Lam took over the company's Asian business at the beginning of December. He is also Vice President for worldwide sales of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. His predecessor Dr. Alfred Felder will in future be responsible for global sales of the business unit General Lighting at the parent company OSRAM AG.

The higher regional court Karlsruhe confirmed that Malaysian LED manufacturer Dominant is illegally using or has used OSRAM AG technology with seven patents. The latest Oslon SSL LEDs from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors provide up to 20 percent more output than their predecessors and offer improved thermal stability, particularly in Hyperred (660 nm). Eenergy-efficient applications such as commercial horticulture are therefore much more efficient. OSRAM strengthens position in two key growth markets
OSRAM has signed an agreement with Townsend Ventures, LLC to increase its stake in Encelium Technologies from 15 percent to 100 percent. This move will enhance the company’s position in two key global growth markets, LED based technologies and Light Management Systems (LMS).
