Orion Fans has launched a series of microcontroller-based, up to IP68-rated, reversible flow fans. By utilising PWM signals to control fan speed, the fans provide engineers with a solution to some of their most challenging cooling requirements: speed and airflow direction controlled by one fan without supplementing excess wires or circuitry.

A series of specialty air filters has been designed by Orion Fans, for equipment where permanent, cleanable filters are most appropriate. Orion Fans has expanded its DC fan and blower product listing to offer a viable, long-term source for customers when their current source obsoletes a fan or blower product. Orion has introduced 52 DC fans and 4 DC blowers. The additions to the DC fan and blower families include a wide range of package size, speed (RPM), airflow (CFM), and special function combinations.

Aimed at the highly restrictive environments found in telecom, medical and industrial applications, Orion Fans has developed a family of 60mm, 80mm, 92mm and 120mm DC fans. Orion’s family of high static pressure DC fans deliver airflows up to 283 CFM, low weight-to-output ratios, and static pressure ranging up to 3.90 inches of water (H2O) column.

Orion Fans has developed a complete, cost-effective airflow monitoring system that is easy to implement and use. The field retrofittable AFM kit includes an AFM-01NC airflow module, mounting clip, three plastic guards (80, 92 and 120mm), buzzer, LED and holder, switch and wall mounted power supply. The kit comes completely assembled in a 10" wire assembly, making installation even easier.

Orion Fans AFM series airflow module provides a cost-effective alternative for indicating airflow in AC and DC fan/blower applications. The AFM module can operate an optical LED or audible-alarm when airflow falls below 8.2ft/s due to fan filter clogs or interference with the fan blade. Field retrofittable, the AFM airflow sensor installs perpendicular to the front or intake side of the fan and mounts via clip or clamp to any grill.

Orion Fans has developed a new series of small, powerful vane axial fans for harsh, high-static pressure environments for medical, networking and telecom equipment. Designed to deliver airflows of up to 283 CFM in a compact package, the high-pressure Vane Axial Series fans feature low weight-to-output ratios, and provide a maximum static pressure range of .74 to 1.85 inches of water column.
