Controller and driver deliver USB-PD power adapter solutions

A new solution has been introduced by ON Semiconductor for high-density power adapters for notebooks, tablets, and other portable devices that require compatibility with the USB Power Delivery (USB PD) or Qualcomm Quick Charge specifications. The solution, which includes multiple patents pending, comprises the NCP1568 active clamp flyback (ACF) controller and a corresponding high-speed, half-bridge driver – the NCP51530.

Low power and fully compliant USB-C 1.3 devices

CES 2018: Image sensor designed for IoT, AR/VR and security cameras

ON Semiconductor has announced a new 1/3.2" Back Side Illuminated (BSI) 4MP CMOS digital image sensor. The AR0430 delivers 120 frames-per-second (fps) performance supporting slow-motion video in 4MP mode. The sensor’s embedded functionality allows customers to capture a colour image and simultaneous depth map from a single device; a feature that is normally only possible when using a second sensor for independent depth mapping.
