When Rimex needed to refurbish its colouring process plant, it approached NHE, manufacturer of surface treatment process plants. NHE's solution to the corrosion issues Rimex experienced was to supply a custom made, easy to install, cost effective non-bonded liner from Witt Lining Systems that offered enhanced protection compared with the current pit lining system.

Norman Hay has created a group, incorporating SIFCO Applied Surface Concepts (ASC) and Surface Technology, to provide a single access point in surface coating technology. SIFCO ASC, acquired by NH in 2012, is a supplier of selective plating services, chemical solutions and equipment, and creator of the SIFCO Process. Surface Technology offers a range of surface treatments for industrial applications.
