High-power 1800K LED alternative to HPS lamps

NICHIA has announced its 219F series of high-power 1800K LEDs, positioned as an alternative to High Pressure Sodium lamps (HPS). Global efforts to phase-out the use of HPS continue to be met with a resistance to using white LED replacements. Due to this lack of a viable and sustainable alternative, HPS have remained exempt from the list of banned products under the Minamata Convention on Mercury, meaning HPS remains ubiquitous.

Phosphor technology LEDs deliver joint-boost

NICHIA has announced its H6 series. Implemented into NICHIA’s 3030 mid-power 757 package to start, the new family of phosphor technology LEDs delivers high multi-level boost in colour rendition and efficacy whilst maintaining the lifetime expected from NICHIA. The H6 series delivers a colour rendering index (CRI) of 90 while maintaining a level of efficacy seen in standard CRI 80 LEDs.

UV-C LED disinfection efficacy proven to combat viruses

At a peak wavelength of 280nm, NICHIA’s deep UV LED performs highly in the field of UV-C LEDs, regardless of wavelength, output, efficiency and lifetime.
