Workshop reveals the potential value of nanocomposites
The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network has published findings and recommendations from its Graphene and Nanofillers for Composites Workshop held in December 2013 in a report co-authored by the National Composites Centre, Materials KTN, and Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology.
TEMPEST launched as first UK Thermoelectric Network
The first UK Thermoelectric Network has been announced, garnering support from the Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network. Funded through the EPSRC, the TEMPEST Network will bring together individuals in different disciplines to define and address the research challenges and opportunity presented by thermoelectrics.
Conference will address Nanofibres to Nanocomposites
In partnership with Nottingham Trent University, The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network's annual one-day conference will be held on 27th February 2014. The conference aims to discuss the latest UK developments in nanofibres, nanocomposites and existing and emerging applications.
NanoKTN Publishes 2013 UK Nanotechnology Directory
The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network has published the latest version of its UK Nanotechnology Directory. Now in its fourth edition, the guidebook features over 450 organisations active in micro and nanotechnologies and the associated supply chains in the UK, and is available for free to anyone working within the MNT industry.

NanoKTN helps UK start-up Bridgelight secure commercial contract
The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network announce that following an introduction to Dublin City University, Bridgelight has secured a contract to build the foundations for a web platform to accelerate the identification of profitable collaboration opportunities for UK technology companies. Bridgelight first contacted the NanoKTN in May 2012 looking for partner organisations to validate the company’s business model.
