SPS IPC Drives hosts magnetostrictive sensor portfolio
MTS Sensors will be using this year’s SPS IPC Drives show as a platform to display its latest innovations in position sensing, based on its patented Temposonics magnetostrictive technology. In order to respond to growing market demands for position sensing solutions that are suitable for deployment in hazardous areas, the company now offers devices where functional safety is addressed to a higher degree.
Magnetostrictive encoder improves reliability in linear motors
MTS Sensors, a division of MTS Systems, has announced its latest product introduction, the Temposonics A-series ‘duo’ linear encoder. This compact, rugged device features two output channels: an incremental interface and a synchronous serial interface.
Versatile position sensing solution uses magnetostriction
Expanding its EC-Series absolute position sensors, MTS Sensors has introduced new devices based on the company’s industry-leading Temposonics magnetostrictive technology. The models are designed to offer a higher degree of integration with a choice of serial interface standards supported and built-in active signal conditioning functionality.
Level transmitter features a ±0.1°C temperature accuracy
MTS Sensors, a division of MTS Systems, has announced that the temperature accuracy of the Level Plus M-series Model MG level transmitter has been enhanced to ±0.1°C.
Linear magnetostrictive sensors resist flames & explosions
MTS Sensors has unveiled its T-Series of magnetostrictive linear position sensors. These high resolution devices, which are based on the company’s Temposonics technology, are optimised for use in hazardous working environments, where they might be exposed to flames, caustic substances and potentially explosive atmospheres, such as in chemical plants or offshore oil/gas rigs.
Magnetostrictive sensor offers precise positioning
MTS Systems' subdivision MTS Sensors has introduced a robust, high performance magnetostrictive position sensor, using its innovative Temposonics technology. The ET sensor is very well suited to deployment in applications with high temperature environments, and can deliver up to 0.005mm resolution when used in combination with a suitable controller.
