New lenses optimised for 10-12 micron pixel size uncooled cameras
At EUROSATORY 2018, a new range of lenses was announced by MKS Instruments with the Ophir SupIR family of compact infrared lenses, designed for use in 10-12µm pixel size uncooled cameras.
Ophir BeamSquared 2.0 supports continuous use applications
MKS Instruments has announced Ophir BeamSquared 2.0, the newest version of the company's M2 laser beam propagation system designed to help users optimise laser performance. A robust, portable device, BeamSquared automatically measures the propagation characteristics of CW and pulsed lasers quickly, in less than one minute. It can optionally measure wavelengths above 1.8µm, including CO2 and terahertz, in manual mode.
Laser power sensors feature high damage threshold
A new line of high damage threshold laser power/energy sensors designed for CW lasers with high power densities, as well as long as for pulse lasers has been announced by MKS Instruments.
Laser measurement software turns a PC into a display station
MKS Instruments has announced Ophir StarLab 3.30, easy-to-use laser measurement software that turns a PC into a multi-channel laser power/energy display station. The new version supports expanded network access via the Ophir EA-1 Ethernet Adapter or Quasar Bluetooth Adapter, user-defined pass/fail limits, and multiple pre-defined startup configurations.
Laser beam profiling camera offers quick USB interfacing
Global provider of technologies that enable advanced processes and improve productivity, MKS Instruments, has announced the Ophir Pyrocam IV USB, a laser beam profiling camera that allows users to see their laser beam for dynamic alignment and proper operation. The camera features a 320x320 pixel pyroelectric array that can profile beams up to 25mm (1") without the need for reduction optics.
Smallest and most light weight zoom lens designed for drones and UAVs
At the XPONENTIAL show for Unmanned Systems and Robotics, taking place 8-11th May this year, MKS Instruments will be announcing the Ophir LightIR compact, continuous zoom lens. LightIR is a lightweight, infrared (IR) thermal imaging lens for cooled detectors in commercial applications, including drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), marine, and handheld devices.
Compact laser sensor handles powers up to 15,000W
Global provider of technologies that enable advanced processes and improve productivity, MKS Instruments, has announced the 15K-W-BB-45 from Ophir, a compact, fan-cooled, thermal laser power measurement sensor that handles high powers up to 15,000W. The 15K-W-BB-45 is a high damage threshold sensor that measures continuous laser power from 100-15,000W over the spectral range from 0.8-2µm and 10.6µm.
Beam profiling system ensures accurate laser performance
MKS Instruments has announced BeamCheck from Ophir, a beam profiling system that ensures accurate laser performance in additive manufacturing applications, like Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Selective Laser Melting (SLM).
Series of calibrated integrating spheres expanded
MKS Instruments has announced new additions to the Ophir Integrating Sphere series of products. Designed for measuring divergent and collimated light sources, such as laser diodes and LEDs, the Ophir Integrating Spheres are integrating sphere and photodiode sensor systems for measuring the optical power of divergent, narrowband light sources.
MKS Introduces I-Series Mass Flow Controllers
MKS Instruments announces the introduction of the I-Series of mass flow controllers designed for use in harsh environments where resistance to liquid or dust ingress is essential. Typical applications include Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage production where hose down may be required, as well as industrial glass production where moisture and/or dust is present in the environment.
MKS Acquires Alter Power Systems
MKS Instruments announces the acquisition of Alter Power Systems of Reggio Emilia, Italy in a cash transaction closed today. Alter develops advanced microwave power generators, components and systems for industrial microwave heating, microwave plasma coating and semiconductor applications.
