Test equipment sourcing specialist Microlease has published an updated catalogue detailing its Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) products. Complementing the company’s rental and brand new equipment options, its CPO offering is made up of carefully selected items of equipment, including ex-rental models that have been meticulously maintained throughout their operational lifespan.

Microlease has been appointed a premier solutions partner by Viavi Solutions, formerly JDSU. Under this arrangement, Microlease will sell brand new test solutions from Viavi, complementing the rental and used equipment services that Microlease already provides to the UK market. Earlier this year Microlease signed Keysight Technologies to a similar agreement.

Test engineers will want to visit the Microlease stand at the Embedded Design show where the test and measurement equipment management company, is partnering with Keysight Technologies and Tektronix to showcase their latest test and measurement equipment. The Microlease-Tektronix team will be on stand H4 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry (October 21-22) and visitors will be given the chance to win a driving experience day at Silverstone.  

Paul McCloskey has been named as a Board Level Director by Microlease dedicated to developing Certified Pre-Owned (CPO), a comprehensive programme to address a growing customer demand. It also named three senior executives, Philippe Suel, Jean Bernard and Neil Whitehead, who will report to him and oversee the CPO channel in specific European regions.

Microlease has gained top independently assessed certifications for environmental management, information security and health and safety alongside its existing ISO9001 Quality Management certification.  The company believes it is the first rental company to achieve a ‘full house’ of ISO14001 for Environmental Management, ISO27001 for Information Security, OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety and ISO9001.

Microlease, Keysight Technologies, the University of Portsmouth, the University of Southampton Science Park (USSP) and the Future Solent Green Growth Programme have invested £500K in two centres of excellence to support innovation and start-up companies in the Southampton and Portsmouth region. 

Microlease is emerging as a major player in the test and measurement distribution sector. The Harrow-based company has signed a distribution agreement with Keysight Technologies covering the UK. The agreement encompasses the full range of Keysight test and measurement instrumentation from hand-held imaging cameras to high-end Infiniium oscilloscopes.
