LDO regulator targets growing automotive applications
Featuring an ultralow dropout of only 100mV at 300mA, the MAQ5300 automotive AEC-Q100 qualified LDO regulator has been released by Micrel. The device is offered in a six-pin 2x2mm DFN package and is suitable for space-constrained and high-reliability applications that are subjected to the harsh environments and temperatures often encountered in automotive and industrial applications.
5A DC/DC converter is offered in a 3x3mm QFN package
A high efficiency (greater than 90%), pin-configurable 5A synchronous buck converter in a tiny 3x3mm QFN package has been introduced by Micrel. The MIC24046-H features pin selectable output voltage, switching frequency and current limit settings, which improve design flexibility, and eliminates multiple external components.
Smart switch targets multi-powered handheld devices
Targeting handheld devices and systems powered from multiple sources such as wall adapters and auxiliary batteries, the MIC1344 3A power ORing smart switch has been introduced by Micrel. The device, which is offered in a 12-pin, 2x2mm QFN package, is also suitable for applications that require a diode OR function between two input power sources.
OOK/ASK receivers offer -112dBm sensitivity at 1kb/s
Micrel has introduced the MICRF229 and the MICRF230, low-power, 400-450MHz, super-heterodyne, image reject, OOK/ASK receivers. Both devices feature -112dBm sensitivity at a data rate of 1kb/s and operate from 3.5 to 5.5V. They consume less than 6mA of current when receiving data continuously and are aimed at Remote Keyless Entry (RKE), garage door openers, home automation, and other low-power, low data rate applications.

A family of pin-compatible, HV, synchronous step-down switching regulators, which feature integrated power switches, has been introduced by Micrel. The MIC285 family is comprised of the MIC28511, the MIC28512 and the MIC28513.

Micrel has introduced a family of highly integrated and configurable PMIC solutions featuring six independent DC/DC regulators.
