The Best Paper and three Young Engineer Award winners were honoured during the opening ceremony of the PCIM Europe Conference 2015. From more than 300 high quality papers, the four contributions of the award winners convinced the conference directors.

The first day of PCIM Europe 2015 came to a successful end with a 12% increase in visitors. 416 exhibitors, as well as 86 represented companies presenting themselves in Nuremberg and introducing the latest developments from the field of power electronics and its application areas to the visitors.

Until the 21st May 2015, experts from all fields of power electronics are getting together at PCIM Europe to jointly discuss the industry’s latest trends, developments and innovations. On an exhibition space of about 21,000m2, 416 exhibitors are presenting themselves as well as the their latest products to the highly qualified visitors.

At PCIM Europe 2015, it’s all about power electronics and its applications. Besides around 420 exhibiting companies, visitors can additionally look forward to a varied programme at the two free of charge visitor forums in the exhibition halls.

Over 240 speakers from more than 25 countries introduce the latest technological trends in power electronics components and systems in first publications at the PCIM Europe 2015 Conference.

At PCIM Europe 2015, taking place from 19th to 21st May in Nuremberg, about 400 exhibitors will present their latest products, solutions and innovations to an international specialist audience. With the global players of the industry, as well as numerous new exhibitors, PCIM Europe can once more prove its relevance as the internationally leading meeting point for the power electronics community.

The PCIM Asia 2015 international exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management will take place from 24th to 26th June in Shanghai. The focus is on power electronic components and systems and the special requirements for applications in China and Asia.

Organisers of the PCIM Europe 2015 Conference, 19th to 21st May in Nuremburg, have announced that the Call for Papers is now open. With a deadline set as 15th October 2014, papers exploring power electronics and their applications are welcomed. Proposals are invited for oral or poster presentations at the conference.

Held from 20-22 May 2014 in Nuremberg, Germany, PCIM Europe 2014 will present the latest trends in power electronics components and systems for use in the wind and solar energy sector. As well as the products and solutions on display at the exhibition, visitors will be able to attend vendor presentations and contribute to expert discussions on the latest developments in wind and solar energy at the free industry forums.

PCIM Europe 2014 feature a diverse conference program: from a total of 269 abstracts, the conference directors have put together a comprehensive program covering the latest technological trends in power electronics components and systems.

All the issues driving the power electronics industry forward - energy efficiency, more power from smaller components - served to draw a bigger audience to the PCIM exhibition in Nuremberg. The organisers were able to report a 15 per cent increase in attendance to 7,883 (2012: 6,874) and 395 exhibitors (2012: 365). Power semiconductor companies were out in force and many were brandishing new products.
