Memory Protection Devices introduces part number BK-6049 for holding 8 AA batteries. Offering 12 volts output with 8 AA alkaline batteries in series or 9.6 volts with rechargeable batteries. A built in sliding switch in the case is recessed below the surface to prevent accidental activations and is rated for 0.5A. Dual sliding covers have snap locking tabs and allow for quick battery changes without the use of tools.

MPD is introducing P/N’s BV-1632 & BV-1632-G, two lithium vertical battery holders for CR1632, BR1632 or DL1632 size batteries. The BV-1632 and BV-1632-G are particularly suitable for single board computers with tight space constraints. Designed to be as compact as possible but to withstand harsh environments where SBC’s are sometimes found.

With 4 large stainless steel contacts firmly applying pressure to the AA batteries you’re assured of a long lasting trouble free connection. Four printed circuit contacts allow quick mounting and serial or parallel connection flexibility of circuit design without the need for fasteners or glues.

MPD is offering evaluation kits for its new line of lithium battery retainers. “Gliders” are a hybrid type combining the low cost of retainers with special plastic trays that snap lock into the housing. The GLiDER line also includes versions that hold 2 batteries in series for 6 volts. A version for 4 coin cell batteries offering 12 volts and is less than 7.5 mm in height above the pcb.

MPD is introducing a whole new category of battery holders for lithium coin cell batteries. “Gliders” are a hybrid type combining the low cost of retainers with higher reliability than regular coin cell battery holders. They are particularly suitable for hand-held consumer and medical products, electronic cards, electronic toll tags, single-use devices, alarm systems, main boards, PND’s and RFID.

MPD introduces its new part number BC2032-E2, a battery holder for CR2032 cells. This holder also accepts one BR2032 battery and is suitable for consumer or industrial products. BC2032-E2 has large nickel plated stainless steel pressure contacts with pc pins tails that are unequal in size so the holder is polarity protected to the PCB against insertion errors.
