Offshore Winder project funding secured by Magnomatics

Magnomatics, the UK based specialist in magnetic gear technology, has announced that the recent grant funding of £363,460 secured has allowed the company to work on the Winder project. The project will de-risk technology required for the manufacture of large generators for offshore wind to the UK.

Magnomatics secures offshore wind funding

Magnomatics has announced that it has secured over £300,000 in grant funding for offshore wind as part of a £5m UK government grant to develop and supply innovative power electronics, machines and drives. The funding will be used for the Winder project, which will de-risk technology required for the manufacture of large generators for offshore wind to the UK.

Making the case for hybrids

Magnomatics and Changan UK collaborate for next gen hybrids

Magnomatics has signed a collaboration agreement with Changan UK and consortium partners Romax Technology, CMCL Innovations and University of Sheffield to develop and evaluate Magnomatics’ MAGSPLIT hybrid transmission for future Changan Vehicles. The MAGSPLIT is a next gen Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) that is expected to be one of the most efficient, simple and elegant hybrid powertrains for cars and commercial vehicles.
