A miniature dual-channel rotary joint, which has been specifically designed to save space in antennas for Ka-band satellite-on-the-move communications systems, is being deployed by Link Microtek for high-data-rate applications in both the military and commercial sectors.

A new PIM analyser that can measure the passive intermodulation (PIM) distortion of a device over four different frequency bands in a single pass, thereby eliminating the need to connect/disconnect the DUT (device under test) to a separate instrument for each band is available from Link Microtek.

A new range of high-performance miniature variable attenuators covering microwave frequencies up to 26.5GHz has been introduced by Link Microtek. Manufactured by Narda Microwave-East, an L3 Communications company, the variable attenuators are suitable for use in a variety of military and commercial applications, including communications, test, radar and electronic-warfare systems.

Expanding the company's range of in-house manufactured microwave rotary joints, Link Microtek has introduced the AMCORJD-Ku dual-channel coaxial device. Typically deployed on military or commercial mobile platforms such as vehicles or aeroplanes, the rotary joints have been designed for low-profile antennas for Ku-band satellite-on-the-move high-data-rate communication systems.

A medium-power coaxial termination, suitable for use in HF and VHF systems in demanding environments, has been released by Link Microtek. The AMCOL-1-T, which absorbs RF signals in the frequency range of 10-100MHz, is fitted with a TNC male connector incorporating a coarse-ribbed M27-threaded collar to ensure secure mechanical attachment. 

The new TF010x series of digitally tunable bandpass filters from Link Microtek offer military communications systems designers a low-loss frequency-hopping capability for software-defined radios. Designed and manufactured by MtronPTI, the filters are available in eight different models covering frequency ranges from 30MHz to 1GHz, each with 250 tuning steps, 8-bit parallel tuning control and a switching time of less than 25µs.

Link Microteck has the latest addition to AWT Global’s range of PIM analysers, the S1L TETRA MK2. It has been designed for testing antennae, cables and components to enable sources of PIM (passive intermodulation) distortion to be located and eliminated from the TETRA network infrastructure.
