Aimed at military mobile applications such as jamming systems for countering the threat of IEDs, the amplifier module is housed in a rugged, sealed case and features built-in monitoring and control ci...
PIM analyser speeds up R&D test measurements
A new PIM analyser that can measure the passive intermodulation (PIM) distortion of a device over four different frequency bands in a single pass, thereby eliminating the need to connect/disconnect the DUT (device under test) to a separate instrument for each band is available from Link Microtek.
Rohde & Schwarz names Link Microtek as UK reseller
Link Microtek has strengthened its test and measurement armoury with the signing of blue chip supplier Rohde & Schwarz. The company has been appointed as a UK reseller for the Value Instruments range of general-purpose test-and-measurement equipment manufactured by Rohde & Schwarz and its HAMEG subsidiary.
GTEM cell offers alternative for EMC emission testing
Link Microtek has unveiled a new GTEM (gigahertz transverse electromagnetic) cell as a cost-effective alternative to an anechoic chamber for high-frequency EMC emissions and immunity testing. Primarily aimed at those needing to carry out precompliance testing of portable equipment, the new AM18-GTEM can handle microwave frequencies up to 18GHz, compared with a maximum of only about 500MHz for traditional TEM cells.
Two-way power divider operates from 500MHz to 6GHz
A new two-way power divider that is particularly suitable for use in military mobile jamming systems to counter the threat of IEDs is available from Link Microtek. Manufactured by Narda Microwave, the Model 2382-2 power divider operates over microwave frequencies from 500MHz to 6GHz and can handle an input power of up to 250W CW or 2kW peak.
Rotary joint saves space in Ka-band satellite communications
A dual-channel rotary joint, which reduces component count and saves space and weight in antennas are used for Ka-band high-data-rate satellite-on-the-move communication systems, has been released by Link Microtek. Particularly suitable for military or commercial airborne systems such as satcomm uplinks in unmanned aerial vehicles, the AM28RJD features a high-power/low-loss WR28 waveguide transmit channel and a coaxial receive channel.
Broadband phase shifters cover frequencies up to 40GHz
Link Microtek has unveiled a new range of broadband phase shifters covering microwave frequencies as high as 40GHz. Manufactured by Narda Microwave-East, the range consists of four models, all of which are ideal for use in calibration and general test-and-measurement applications in both the military and commercial sectors.
Naval IR comms system enhanced by smaller, lighter battery
Link Microtek has expanded the range of accessories available for its Azdec IR communications system with the introduction of a compact battery pack that is significantly smaller and lighter than its standard unit, yet delivers the same battery life.
Compact microwave power module meets defence needs
Link Microtek is selling a switchable Ka/Q-band microwave power module (MPM) that provides highly compact power-amplifier functionality for defence and aerospace applications where size and weight are key considerations. Designed and manufactured by L-3 Electron Devices, the M2837 module delivers more than 100W of saturated CW power at Ka-band frequencies from 29.5 to 31.0GHz and over 80W at Q-band frequencies from 43.5 to 45.5GHz.
Exposure meter eases electromagnetic compliance
Link Microtek has introduced a new hand-held instrument that provides health and safety professionals with an easy means of proving compliance with Directive 2013/35/EU, which deals with electromagnetic fields in the workplace and will come into force in July 2016. Manufactured by Narda Safety Test Solutions, the ELT-400 Model 107 exposure level tester is as straightforward to operate as a noise meter, displaying magnetic field strengths as a per...
Miniature attenuators cover frequencies up to 26.5GHz
