The LDRA tool suite has been fully integrated with the next generation Wind River VxWorks 7 real-time operating system (RTOS) to achieve full compliance with industry safety- and security-critical standards. The reduced overhead and support of the LDRA tool suite for a wide range of target architectures, regardless of their respective footprints, ensures that VxWorks-based systems can be built and verified faster and at lower cost.

Allowing designers to meet functional-safety requirements, LDRA has partnered with Microchip Technology. Microchip recommends LDRA tools for applications that must comply with functional-safety standards such as ISO 26262 for road vehicles, IEC 61508 for industrial safety systems and EN 50128 for rail transportation systems.

The LDRA tool suite target implementation has been optimised to deliver the same comprehensive software test and verification capabilities with a 60 percent smaller on-target footprint. This reduced footprint minimises test so that time-critical dependencies can now be properly traced. Instrumentation overhead no longer interferes with the real-time execution on the target.

LDRA is providing verification for highly constrained applications. By optimising its analysis and testing technology, LDRA has enhanced the ability of the LDRA tool suite to scale down to meet the increasing number of highly constrained, minimal-footprint architectures used in today’s safety-critical and security-critical applications.

The LDRA Compliance Management System (LCMS) has been released to provide companies with the proper infrastructure enabling ISO 26262 compliance. The compliance management tools guide automotive suppliers to the high-quality standards demanded by OEMs.

LDRA is to offer validation of requirements through to certification for radiation-hardened environments where radiation anomalies can disrupt system functionality causing catastrophic results.
