With today's introduction of Kontron's new ready-to-use SMARC Starterkit, the company enables developers to gain fast entry into the world of embedded ARM processors, which is now highly scalable thanks to SMARC Computer-on-Modules. As part of its 'High-Speed CompactPCI Initiative', Kontron is launching the world's first 6U CompactPCI Serial Mesh 10 Gigabit Ethernet processor board together with a compliant chassis at the Embedded World 2013 trade show (hall 1, stand 460). For the first time, a CompactPCI system supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet and PCIe over backplane in addition to the common interfaces such as PICMG 2.16, SATA and HDMI.

Kontron announced today that the M2M Smart Services Developer Kit has passed the extensive 2G/3G tests carried out by the Vodafone Test & Innovation Center and is approved to operate globally on Vodafone cellular networks with immediate effect.
