Efficient IoT approach to server connectivity and infrastructure
Kontron, being a member of the SGET (Standardisation Group for Embedded Technologies), supports the first hardware-focused IoT software standard UIC. It is noticeable for its open, platform-agnostic approach to server connectivity (Cloud/Fog/M2M), the connected infrastructure, as well as the underlying hardware. Industrial computer platform has integrated TSN networking card
At embedded world 2018 in Nuremberg, Kontron will present the first marketable, comprehensive Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) extension solution for Fog Computing. At the core of this starterkit is the Kontron KBox C-102-2 industrial computer with an integrated TSN networking card including software and real time Linux operating system. The TSN specifications guarantee timely, high availability delivery of data packets.
Computing performance and low power dissipation for transportation
A combination of computing performance and low power dissipation for transportation, defence and industry technology insertion has been produced in the new Kontron VM6103, which extends Kontron's 6U VME portfolio of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) single board computers (SBCs) with NXP layerscape multi-core 64-bit ARM with neon SIMD product family.

Kontron has entered into a sales partnership with electronics distributor Astone Technology. Based in Montrouge and represented at five additional locations in France, the specialist for the sale of electronic components expands its existing partnership with Kontron Asia, formerly Quanmax. Its portfolio encompasses boards and modules as well as systems and flat screens for industrial applications.
Processor blade computer qualified in radar application
The new VX6090 has been announced by Kontron, as a 6U VPX Dual 8-core Intel Xeon D processor blade computer, which has been successfully integrated and tested by Thales in a radar application.
