Analogue accelerometers assist vibration sensing
The KX220 sensor series, a family of medium-g, tri-axis Analog Accelerometers has been launched by Kionix, a ROHM group company. Initially two versions are available: the KX220-1071 and the KX220-1072, providing +/-20g and +/-40g ranges respectively. Maximum supported bandwidths range from 4.5kHz to 8kHz.
Accelerometer offers improved interrupt functionality
Kionix has announced the release of the KXTJ3, a 3-axis accelerometer offering unprecedented value while providing the performance of much a more expensive accelerometer in a tiny, 2x2x0.9mm form factor.
The industry's first thin full-functional tri-axis accelerometers
Kionix has announced the industry's first thin full-functional tri-axis accelerometers, the KX112 and KXCJB. Part of Kionix's flagship family of tri-axis accelerometers, the KX112 is the thinnest 2x2 accelerometer available, measuring only 2x2x0.6mm, making it suitable for the compact designs required in the health, medical and wearable markets.
Kionix and Rohm 'Finnish' the job with R&D centre
Kionix, together with its parent company, ROHM Semiconductor, has announced the opening of a software development centre in Oulu, Finland, to reinforce its sensor software and development resources. The jointly formed software development centre will expand upon the company’s past and current presence in Finland, leveraging the many skilled and available resources in the area.
Kionix Introduces Low Power, Full-Featured 2x2x0.9mm Accelerometer with FIFO/FILO Buffer
Kionix announces the release of the KX022, a 2x2x0.9mm tri-axis, robust accelerometer with integrated FIFO/FILO buffer that maintains low power while offering a wide variety of embedded algorithms for maximum functionality.
Kionix Launches Industry’s Thinnest Accelerometer for Consumer Electronics Applications
Kionix announced today the KXCJA, a new low-power, high-performance accelerometer in an ultra-thin 3x3x0.7mm package – the thinnest available on the market today. The KXCJA offers a rich feature set including embedded motion wake-up functionality, power as low as 1µA and exceptional stability.
Kionix shows the KXCNL Accelerometer with Dual User-Programmable State Machines
Kionix today announced the release of the KXCNL, a configurable accelerometer with dual state machines to allow designers to dynamically program the device for numerous applications. The KXCNL’s dual state machines allow the device to simultaneously run multiple applications at the chip level, taking significant processing load off the system’s main applications processor and conserving power.
