Keysight Technologies has joined the multi-party 6G Flagship Program – supported by the Academy of Finland and led by the University of Oulu, Finland – as a co-creator to advance wireless communications research beyond 5G.

Keysight Technologies says that Fibocom Wireless has selected the company's 5G network emulation solutions to accelerate development and validation of 5G new radio (NR) modules for the PC market. Fibocom, China's first publicly listed wireless module provider, selected Keysight's 5G RF DVT Toolset to support its strategic goal of supplying connected mobile ecosystems with commercial 5G-powered internet of things (IoT) modules.

A report just issued by Keysight reveals the increasing challenges to achieving electronic hardware manufacturing quality and the impact of poor testing practices on the bottom line of businesses. The Keysight Test Equipment Report is based on a survey conducted by Dimensional Research consisting of 306 participants that use test equipment for ensuring electronic device quality and testing.

The Modulation Distortion Analysis test suite from Keysight Technologies has enabled Qorvo to fully characterise 5G mmWave front end module (FEM) performance in production test. It was used to measure wideband modulated signals and ensure full 3GPP 5G new radio (NR) compliance on all front-end technology up to 43GHz.

FieldFox B-series is the next generation of Keysight Technologies’ multi-purpose spectrum analyser, delivering a bandwidth up to 100 MHz for wide-band, real-time spectrum analysis to enable 5G testing in the field.

Keysight Technologies says its 5G conformance toolset was first to submit 5G new radio (NR) non-standalone (NSA) radio frequency test cases for PTCRB validation approval in frequency range 2 (FR2), as well as for 5G NR standalone (SA) protocol test cases in frequency range 1 (FR1), accelerating market introduction of 5G NR mobile devices.

An optional S93070xB Modulation Distortion application is fully integrated with Keysight Technologies’ PNA-X Vector Network Analyser, enables designers to accurately, repeatedly and quickly characterise the behaviour of a device under modulated wideband signal stimulus.
