International tin industry organisation ITRI has launched a Responsible Tin Supply group aimed at achieving a credible, responsible and more coordinated supply chain for tin.

Specifically designed for global tin mining and smelting operations and addressing the growing expectations of tin users and consumers, ITRI and member companies have developed a new industry Code of Conduct.

ITRI’s work and success in bringing positive change in the tin supply chain has been recognised in its shortlisting for an edie Sustainability Leaders Award 2017. ITRI joins other nominees BT, Coca-Cola, Encirc, McDonalds, Resolute Forest Products and TUCO with the opportunity to be awarded the Sustainable Supply Chains category. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on 25th January.
