Invotec have today announced that Inmarsat’s latest satellite, Alphasat, features an advanced Digital Integrated Processor system built by Astrium in the UK and incorporates PCBs manufactured by Invotec. Alphasat, the most sophisticated commercial communications satellite ever launched, took off from French Guiana on 25th July 2013.

Invotec Group has been awarded two major awards at this year’s Aero Engine Controls (AEC) Supplier Conference. In addition to the Engineered Products Division Award 2012, Invotec also won the overall Supplier of the Year Award. Both awards were received on behalf of Invotec by the company’s Managing Director, Tim Tatton.

Invotec announces today that it is making a €1m investment in upgrading the capability of its Tamworth facility. A key feature of the investment programme will be the installation of an Orbotech Paragon 9800i LDI system, set for delivery in November. Offering high speed automated imaging of HDI, Flex, Rigid-Flex and Solder-Mask applications, the unit will ensure high yields while satisfying tight registration accuracy requirements.

Invotec is delighted to announce a strengthening of its strategic partnership by acquiring a shareholding in additive electronics and integration specialists, Printed Electronics Ltd. The partnership aims to integrate a number of complementary developments and manufacturing techniques in digital fabrication of electronic circuits and devices.
