A new UK automotive certification service offering has been introduced by Intertek, a provider of Total Quality Assurance. The recognised and often mandated standard within the automotive supply chain, ISO/TS 16949, was replaced in October 2016 with the International Automotive Task Force IATF 16949:2016 standard to reflect the fast changing requirements in the sector.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is expecting to achieve 20% wind energy or 300 GW of wind generating capacity by 20301. Unlike many traditional energy sources, the challenge to achieve this goal is not related to availability of raw materials but rather increasing the manufacturing capacity of wind energy generation equipment.
