AUK fuel cell manufacturer has signed a new partnership in South Korea, during a trade visit to Japan.

The launch of a new range of fuel cell module products designed specifically for portable and stationary power applications has been announced by Intelligent Energy. The zero emission FCM-800 series utilises Intelligent Energy’s class leading air cooled PEM fuel cell technology which has been developed over the last 30 years.

Intelligent Energy, the fuel cell technology company, is delighted to announce that it has today signed a Joint Development Agreement with an emerging smartphone OEM with the goal to develop embedded fuel cell technology for the manufacturer’s devices. Once embedded, a fuel cell has the potential to keep a smartphone powered for more than a week without plugging into the wall socket.

CES showstopper Intelligent Energy has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with a major drone manufacturer to develop hydrogen fuel cell powered drones. The deal will see the two companies work together in the first quarter of 2016 to develop technological solutions to increase drone flight time. The goal is for the deal to lead to a formal commercial arrangement for the solutions’ rollout.

Intelligent Energy has announced it has developed a prototype of a hydrogen fuel cell powered range extender for drones. The range extender offers longer flight time and fast re-fuel capabilities, addressing two of the biggest challenges for manufacturers of battery-powered drones.

A zero-emissions solution to making battery electric vehicles more user-friendly will be the centrepiece of energy technology group, Intelligent Energy’s presence at the 2015 Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV) event, which takes place at Millbrook, UK, from 9th to 10th September.

Intelligent Energy, the energy technology group, will lead a UK industry consortium that is to develop a new class of zero-emission, LCVs. By integrating fuel cell technology into BEVs, the consortium will deliver the capability to provide low carbon LCVs with significantly improved range and rapid refuelling.

A 100kW automotive fuel cell architecture has been announced by Intelligent Energy, providing vehicle manufacturers with a high performance option for next-gen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs). The architecture has been developed in response to increasing demand for next-gen, high power automotive fuel cells and is the result of extensive R&D undertaken by the company’s Motive division.
