IDEAL Networks has revealed recent research with cable installers and systems integrators that reportedly shows that switching to its LanTEK IV cable certifier helps users to increase their productivity by 53% on average.

IDEAL Networks has launched a survey for users of its LanTEK IV cable certifier with a view to uncovering insights that will help all cable installers to maximise productivity. The research, which all LanTEK IV customers in the US and Europe are invited to participate in, will ask a series of questions to identify the areas in which they are achieving the greatest productivity.

IDEAL Networks has introduced IDEAL AnyWARE Cloud, a new test management system which makes managing, editing and sharing reports easier than ever for installers and technicians using LanTEK IV cable certifiers.

A copper and fibre cable certifier that delivers faster test times has been unveiled by IDEAL Networks. The LanTEK IV technology enables engineers and technicians to conduct and save a Cat6A test within seven seconds, assisted by the intuitive user interface and easy to use high resolution touchscreen.

The network service business, ISG Technology, has experienced cost and time saving benefits, when installing cables and network troubleshooting, with the IDEAL Networks handheld NaviTEK NT Pro. ISG Technology specialises in rapid digital transformation services with specific expertise in the retail, automotive, hospitality, quick service restaurant and ICT and telecoms sectors.

NaviTEK IE is the first purpose built handheld network tester from Ideal Networks. It is designed for commissioning, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of PROFINET Industrial Ethernet networks, plus standard Ethernet IP networks. The instrument has been developed to simplify the process of testing both cabling and networks in Industrial Ethernet networks that utilise the PROFINET protocol.

The latest IDEAL Networks LanTEK® III cable certifier has received a new, free software update which has been approved by Belden for testing 4K UHD media cabling. The latest software release, version 3.215, now includes special test limits for Belden 2183 4K UHD Media Cabling to support installers as the demand to certify cable which supports 4K video continues to grow.  

CBPE Capital (CBPE) has acquired a majority ownership position in IDEAL Networks, a provider of portable handsets for data cable and network testing, validation and certification. CBPE is acquiring the business from its former parent, IDEAL INDUSTRIES and will be investing alongside the incumbent management team led by Paul Walsh, CEO. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Touchscreens have been added to several of Ideal Networks' network and data cable testers to make troubleshooting and transmission testing quicker and easier. Following the upgrade, a 240 x 320-pixel LCD capacitive touchscreen will now be included as standard on all new NaviTEK NT Plus and Pro copper and fibre network troubleshooters, SignalTEK CT data cable transmission testers and SignalTEK NT network transmission testers.

Recent enhancements to its wide range of network, data cable and IP CCTV testers will be demonstrated by Ideal Networks at GITEX in Dubai (October 14-18). The show will be one of the first opportunities to see a range of touchscreen network and data cable testers.

UK customers of IDEAL Networks have a new way to purchase a wide range of data cable, network and CCTV testers with the launch of a dedicated online shop. With the newly launched online store, Network Technicians, Systems Integrators and Cable Installers across the UK are now able to purchase testers and accessories directly from IDEAL Networks, as well as their preferred distributors. 

Modular Plug Terminated Links (MPTL) are increasingly used in networks, but as testing is still relatively new it can present a challenge. IDEAL Networks has published a free White Paper to educate installers on the testing and certification of MPTLs.

As convergence to digital IP systems continues, IDEAL Networks is helping installers certify cabling that has Modular Plug Terminated Links (MPTL) thanks to a new software update for its LanTEK III cable certifier.

  The speed and accuracy of terminating cat5e and cat6 data cables with RJ45 plugs has been improved for electrical contractor Cerberus Systems thanks to the new FT-45 Feed Thru Modular Plugs and Crimp Tool from IDEAL. Jobs such as IP CCTV installations can now be completed more efficiently and profitably.

To simplify network testing, IDEAL Networks has released free software updates for the SignalTEK NT network transmission tester, SignalTEK CT cable transmission tester and the NaviTEK NT Plus and Pro network troubleshooters. For significant enhancements, such as improved wiremap and port discovery information, users can download the free updates from the IDEAL Networks website.

  According to IDEAL Networks, data cable installers are overestimating their usage requirements for cable certifiers. This suggests that this may be generating extra costs for contractors and installation companies.
