Tool adds static code analysis to the development toolchain
A tool for code quality control has been developed by IAR Systems. In 2014, the company’s IAR Embedded Workbench toolchain was complemented by the runtime analysis add-on product C-RUN. C-STAT further extends the code analysis possibilities by adding powerful static code analysis directly within the development toolchain.

8051 micro users get new development tool
IAR Systems has partnered with the semiconductor IP provider CAST to offer new possibilities for developers working with 8051-based applications. With the recently introduced version 9.10 of the high-performance development toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench for 8051, complete tool support for CAST’s 8051 microcontrollers is available.
IAR Systems enhances development tools for 8051 MCUs
The latest version of IAR Embedded Workbench for 8051 includes high-performance compiler and debugger tools with extensive support for a wide range of MCUs from vendors such as Atmel, Intel, Infineon, NXP, Silicon Labs and Texas Instruments. Version 9.10 of the development toolchain includes further tweaked code optimisations, new debugging functionality and added core support.
IAR enhances development toolchain for TI FRAM-based MCUs
Adding new features and support for the latest MSP430 FRAM-based MCUs, IAR Systems has released a new version of its development toolchain, IAR Embedded Workbench for the MSP430 core from Texas Instruments. Support for several new FRAM MCUs has been added, including the RF430FRL15x sensor transponders that are a part of TI’s Security + Communications series.

IAR Systems has launched the latest version of its development tools for STMicroelectronics' STM8. Version 2.10 of IAR Embedded Workbench for STM8 adds improvements and functionality for debugging, as well as selectable maths functions, updated user documentation and further device support.
Compiler, debugger tools support factory automation solution
IAR Systems will support the new RZ/T1 factory automation solution from Renesas Electronics. Thanks to a close relationship between the two companies, IAR Systems supports RZ/T1 on an early stage through its C/C++ compiler and debugger toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench. IAR Systems says it is the only tools vendor to provide development tools for the entire line-up of Renesas MCUs.
Debugging capability strengthened by new probe

Development tools are the highest performing on the market
CoreMark benchmark scores for the ARM Cortex-M7 core suggest that IAR Systems' IAR Embedded Workbench is the highest performing ARM Cortex-M microcontroller development toolchain on the market. The toolchain, which includes the IAR C/C++ Compiler, provides a wide range of debugging and analysis possibilities to more than 3,000 ARM devices.

Version 7.30 of IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM, which supports the ARM Cortex-M7 processor core, has been introduced by IAR Systems. IAR Systems hosts free seminars at ARM TechCon 2014
IAR Systems is to host two seminar days during ARM TechCon 2014 in Santa Clara, California (Oct 1-3). All the seminars are free of charge and will include both lectures and hands-on training. The company will offer two full days of comprehensive seminars and technical training. The first day, October 1, will include five sessions between 11:00am and 4:50pm.
IAR provides support for TIs’ EnergyTrace technology
IAR Systems announces that early support for Texas Instruments EnergyTrace technology is available in the world-leading development toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench for MSP430.
