Gigaclear has become the first broadband provider to drill under the River Severn to reach two of Gloucestershire’s most remote and poorly connected villages. This significant feat of civil engineering will deliver full Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband access to 861 homes in Longney and Framilode. 

Ultra-fast broadband provider Gigaclear is installing its pure fibre cable network as part of the £7.5m Superfast Essex Rural Challenge Project. The project, which has just commenced, will bring ultra-fast broadband to more than 4,500 homes and businesses in the east of Epping Forest District, providing internet speeds up to 1,000 times faster than currently available in the area.

Gigaclear, is on track to celebrate a record year. To date the company has delivered live, gigabit fibre broadband to 10,000 homes and businesses, with nearly 40% of these properties signed up as customers. These live fibre-to-the-premises networks span 36 communities across five counties in the UK.
