For the second year in a row, FPT Industrial, together with IVECO, was awarded Team and Drivers´ champion at the FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2019. IVECO was the technical sponsor of the Die Bullen von IVECO, the partnership between the Hahn Racing and Schwabentruck Teams, while FPT Industrial is equipping the trucks during the race.

The Guinness World Record for the heaviest payload lifted by a drone has been broken by FPT Industrial and Forvola, during FPT Industrial’s Tech Day event in Turin, Italy, on 23rd November. Forvola’s megadrone, with its 16 propellers, lifted a box full of FPT Industrial spare parts weighing 101kg to a height of almost 1.5 metres for more than one minute and three seconds.

At IAA 2018 in Hannover, FPT Industrial introduced its Euro VI Step D Standard. This new regulation will be applied to all new heavy duty commercial vehicles and buses registered from 1st September 2019. At IAA FPT Industrial exhibited a Diesel-Hybrid Powertrain featuring the F1A Euro VI Step D engine and is RDE (Real Driving Emissions) ready.

Within its multi-power source offering strategy, FPT Industrial is working to develop Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology. It represents a Research and Development project that in the future could lead to new zero emissions solutions specially designed for heavy duty transport, both long haulage goods delivery and long-distance / intercity passenger transport.

The Cannes Croisette is used to welcoming movie stars and celebrities, but at the Cannes Yachting Festival the main character is a world record-breaker powerboat. From September 11th to 16th, FPT Industrial was in Cannes with its latest products, including the new C16 1000 marine engine, and the powerboat capable to reach 277.5km/h.
