The future of vehicle braking systems
FISITA has announced the winners of its global competition for students and young engineers to design the future of vehicle braking systems. Aimed at helping launch the careers of tomorrow’s automotive engineers the Daimler Student Innovation Competition inspired students from around the world to design a technical poster representing their vision of what brakes will look like in 2025.
What will brakes look like in 2025?
FISITA and Daimler have announced a global competition to inspire young engineers around the world to predict what brakes will look like in the future. 30 Daimler Student Innovation Competition winners will each be given €300 to travel to Germany for EuroBrake, the world’s largest braking conference and exhibition, to present their visions of the future to leading engineers from around the world.
FISITA President awarded OBE
In Her Majesty the Queen’s new year honours for 2015, Paul Mascarenas, FISITA President, has been awarded the OBE for his services to the automotive industry. This honour recognises British citizens who have made an outstanding contribution in their area of activity or service, either locally or abroad.
