Featuring an SPI master, the chip enables battery-free wireless sensors and aculators.
Battery-free RFID tag measures voltage levels
A battery-free RFID sensor tag has been introduced by Farsens. The VMETER-DCLV10 can transmit a unique identifier and the associated voltage level measurement data to a commercial EPC C1G2 reader without a battery on the tag. The sensor tag can measure voltages from 0 to 1.5V with an adjustable gain of 1-1000.
Design components driven by RF energy harvesting
A development platform for UHF RFID battery-free devices which includes an ANDY100 chip with EPC C1G2 communication and a MSPG2233IPW20 MCU from Texas Instruments for communication with developers’ circuits, the Medusa has been introduced by Farsens.
Battery-free RFID sensor tag monitors pressure
Capable of transmitting a unique identifier and the associated absolute pressure measurement data to a commercial EPC C1G2 reader, the Cyclon-05BA battery free RFID sensor tag has been introduced by Farsens. The tag incorporates an MS5803-05BA sensor from Measurement Specialties to monitor pressures up to 6bar.
Battery-free RFID sensor tag reduces maintenance costs
An RFID sensor tag, capable of transmitting a unique identifier and the associated weight measurement data to a commercial EPC C1G2 reader without the need of a battery on the sensor tag, has been released by Farsens. The Atlas features four channels for load cells with measurement ranges from 0 to 900kfg per channel.
Battery-free RFID sensor tags enhance DCIM system
Farsens' passive RFID tags and sensors, which do not require batteries, have been used by EPC Solutions Taiwan to augment its DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management) system. The RFID tags remotely monitor asset temperature, pressure and humidity of data centre equipment.
Intelligent clothing harvests energy from RF fields
Technical textiles which act as antennas that harvest energy from RF fields are being developed by AITEX. Farsens’ ANDY100 RFID chip will then use this energy to drive embedded sensors such as those monitoring temperature or heartbeat.
RFID RH & temperature sensor tag is battery-free
Transmitting a unique identifier and associated RH (Relative Humidity) and temperature measurement data to a commercial EPC C1G2 reader, Farsens has announced the Hygro-Fenix-H221 RFID sensor tag. Without requiring a battery or wiring on the sensor tag, the device offers temperature with an accuracy of ±1°C in the range of 0 to +60°C.
RFID multiple switch monitor tag does not require batteries
Enabling a fast and automated connected/disconnected check of up to 32 switches, the X32 RFID multiple switch monitor tag has been introduced by Farsens. The RFID switch monitor tag can transmit a unique identifier and the status of up to 32 switches to a commercial EPC C1G2 reader without the need of a battery on the sensor tag.
Tag discovers UHF RF fields without batteries
Introduced by Farsens, the PHOTON is a UHF RF field detector passive tag which uses an LED driven by energy harvested from an RF field to indicate strength and orientation of an RF field. It is equipped with an LED which will illuminate brighter when the RF field is stronger in a specific point and orientation. It is suitable for detection at ranges up to 3m.
Battery-free RFID light detector tag launched
A battery-free RFID light detector tag has been launched by Farsens. The SHADOW, which is compatible with EPC C1G2 readers, features a LPRS N5AC501085 Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) to detect exposure to light or darkness. The tag has a 96 bits EPC number, a 32 bit TID and a password protected Kill command.
The RMETER: a battery-free RFID resistance meter tag
The RMETER from Farsens S.L, is a battery free RFID sensor tag capable of transmitting a unique identifier and the associated resistance measurement data to a commercial EPC C1G2 reader without the need of a battery on the sensor tag. This device can measure resistances in a range from 100Ω to 500KΩ with an accuracy of ±3%. It also offers an extended operation range from 10Ω to 10MΩ with an accuracy of ±7%.
