One command set for visual control of electronic components
To meet the demands of automated visual inspections in the electronics assembly process, EVT has developed the ChipControl command set. This means that, in the well-proven EyeVision image processing software, there is the option to add the ChipControl command set.
Particle inspection analyses surface of wafer production
The wafer production for the semiconductor industry is a serious business. EVT has now developed a programme for particle inspection, with EyeVision software. Particles are probably the best known defects when it comes to the wafer production. During transport, processing or even in the plant itself, particles such as dust or material abrasion, can settle on the wafer.
3D camera guides robots in decorating gingerbread
Enabling robot guidance, the EyeScan AT 3D camera has been released EVT. The camera features revised 3D drag-and-drop programmable software. For the robot guidance, the 3D-positioning of the object and its geometrical characteristics are detected. The position discrepancy is then calculated and the corrected data is forwarded to the robot system.
Structured light sensor enables fast 3D inspection
Nowadays 3D machine vision systems can solve many applications which were once thought impossible to solve. Only a few years ago 3D operations with height measurements or volumetric measurements lacked accuracy and were expensive and slow. Technical developments have brought new sensors and evaluation hardware to the 3D inspection market.
Smart camera integrates FPGA & 4.2MP CMOS image sensor
The EyeCheck 7xxx series by EVT has been announced, including a free FPGA. The EyeCheck 7800 smart camera has not only a Dual Core processor and an 85K FPGA but also a 4.2MP CMOS sensor. In combination with the EyeVision 3.0 software it is possible to capture extremely small objects at very high speed. Thanks to the FPGA, image capture and evaluation can be realised in real time.
Thermal imaging sensor captures 100 images per second
Developed to provide low cost infrared solutions for the machine vision industry, the ThermoCam LC (TCLC) thermal imaging sensor has been introduced by EVT. Applicable to the thermographic command set of the EyeVision software, the TCLC captures up to 100 images per second and is delivered already precalibrated.
Back light features 48 full colour LEDs
The latest back light from the BrainLight smart illumination series has been annouced by EVT. The BrainLight QC is for industrial use and can be adjusted to almost any application. The LEDs can provide illumination in the colours red, green, blue and white. A diffusor plate in front of the LEDs allows light to spread evenly over the object. Altogether there are 48 full-colour LEDs, which are arranged in a tight grid.
LED illumination with an RS232 connection
The BrainLight R is a smart ringlight developed by EVT. This LED illumination is free configurable and has an RS232 connection for industrial usage. Any succession of illumination patterns can be created with this light. The light not only regulates the illumination patterns, but also ensures that the camera captures only one image per illumination scene.
Camera features a frame rate of 60fps
The EyeVision image processing software now also supports the smart camera NEON-1040 by ADLINK. The 4MP camera features a frame rate of 60fps, a global shutter sensor and the Intel Atom quad core 1.9GHz processor. Its robust housing is IP67-rated and the quad core CPU increases the computing power of the camera.
Configurable LED illumination displays any lighting pattern
The V3 ring light from EVT is a free, configurable LED illumination for the industrial usage with RS232 connection. V3 can display any kind of lighting pattern and can be controlled via a trigger input or optionally via RS232 interface. Once programmed patterns, so called 'frames', can be saved and are the patterns are automatically reloaded after each restart.
LED Inspection system carries out 10 measurements per second
An inspection system, designed to measure the colour and intensity of LEDs, has been introduced by EVT Eye Vision Technology. Utilising EyeVision image processing software, the EyeSens Multi Color Inspect (MCI) carries out various inspections at the same time and presents the results as values or as a Good/Bad signals.
