Electrolube up 29% for first half 2017
Electro-chemicals specialist Electrolube has seen a 29% increase in turnover in the first six months of the year. What the company describes as a “powerful” global performance has been delivered across all territories, particularly Electrolube’s Chinese operation. The companies’ increased investment for the new manufacturing facility in Bangalore, India has also produced significant benefits.
Protection solutions at productronica India 2017
Electrolube will be exhibiting and presenting at productronica India. According to the company, products taking centre stage at this year’s show include HFAC - a high performance and halogen-free acrylic conformal coating, HTCX-ZF – a zinc oxide-free thermal paste as well as a new range of high-performance resins specifically for LEDs.
Automotive themed conformal coating seminar at productronica India
Electrolube will be hosting a presentation at productronica India’s Technical Automotive Seminar. Phil Kinner, Global Business and Technical Director of Electrolube’s Conformal Coatings Division, will present two automotive themed Conformal Coating case studies, examining real problems with an emphasis onanalysis and trouble shooting.
Thermal greases or thermal phase change materials – you choose
As many of you know, providing an adequate thermally conductive interface between a component and its heatsink is essential to achieving long life and reliability. Traditionally, thermal greases have been the material of choice in this area, but new thermal phase change materials are now said to offer a stable alternative that is easier to apply. Thermal greases have relatively low thermal resistance and offer excellent thermal performance f...
Cleaning solution reduces environmental impact
Global electro-chemicals manufacturer, Electrolube, has developed acleaning solution called Safewash Super (SWAS) for PCB wafer assemblers, following close collaboration with a number of manufacturers to considerably improve their cleaning capabilities as well as speed up throughput, reduce costs and decrease environmental impact. Whilst cleaning processes can vary from plant to plant, the silicone wafer manufacturers in collaboration with Electr...
Encapsulation resin protects underwater LED unit
Electrolube was recently approached by a company in Australia for assistance with a particularly unusual application. The customer needed protection for an underwater LED lighting unit. The encapsulation resin needed to be light blue for aesthetic purposes and had to be able to withstand water temperatures between 5 to 40°C, as well as being flame retardant. The customer specifically asked for a sample of a very flexible encapsulation r...
Cleaning solution for silicone wafer assemblers improves cleaning capabilities
Electrolube has developed an innovative cleaning solution called Safewash Super (SWAS) for PCB wafer assemblers, following close collaboration with a number of manufacturers to considerably improve their cleaning capabilities as well as speed up throughput, reduce costs and decrease environmental impact.
Collaboration brings success to 2K coating dispensing optimisation
Electrolube is selectively partnering with key dispensing equipment manufacturers (including PVA, Nordson Asymtek and others) to ensure that its 2K conformal coatings enable customers to obtain optimum results from its range of two-part coating systems. Electrolube’s systems are specifically designed to combine the protection and properties of a resin with the straightforward application of a conformal coating without the use of harmful sol...
Electrolube India gets ISO 9001-2015 Certificate
Electrolube, part of the H K Wentworth Group, just announced ISO 9001-2015 approval for its rapidly expanding operation in Bangalore. Electrolube India has received ISO 9001-2015, a standard based upon verification of a number of quality management principles demonstrated by an organization.
Aromatic free acrylic coatings
Electrolube has complemented its Aromatic Free Acrylic Coating range with a range extension, entitled AFA-G. The new addition is deliberately more viscous than a standard coating, designed for use as a permanent masking or damming material, either preventing capillary action around components such as connectors, or as a mask between the ‘coat` and ‘no-coat` areas of the PCB.
Thermal phase change materials on show
Electrolube is to demonstrate a range of capabilities and special products at this year’s Strategies in Light exhibition (Anaheim, California, February 28 - March 2). Marking its second appearance at this specialist LED lighting industry event, Electrolube will have technical specialists available to discuss issues that LED lighting manufacturers experience in the course of product development.
Phase change materials offer practical alternatives
Two new phase change Thermal Management materials have been released by Electrolube, that offer high thermal conductivity, low phase change temperatures and low thermal resistance at the interface. Phase change materials are highly suited to the thermal management of electronic assemblies for a number of reasons.
Contact lubricants can extend switch lifetime
Electrolube’s Contact lubricants are said to have been proven to extend the lifetime of switches by more than 300%, increasing performance in a many applications and preventing the need for maintenance. The specially formulated greases and oils are designed to reduce friction, wear and enhance the electrical performance of current carrying metal interfaces.
Resin and thermal management solutions designed for LED manufacturers
Rapid growth of the LED market means correct product selection is imperative to ensure LED lifetime and performance. Electrolube has developed a number of key new products to help LED manufacturers improve upon the thermal management of LED products and ensure the desired results for heat dissipation are achieved.
Reworkable thermal paste resists “pump out”
Electrolube has developed new materials to protect LED-based systems and their associated driver electronics from a host of environmental factors. The latest is a Surface-Cure Thermal Paste, SCTP, which is said to be extremely stable during even the harshest thermal shock testing.
Demand is rising for PCB cleaning solution
Designed for cleaning printed circuit boards, Safewash Total (SWAT) from Electrolube, is growing in popularity in military and commercial applications and is well suited for the removal of leaded, lead-free and no-clean flux residues. The cleaner is also suitable for the removal of pastes and adhesives from screens, stencils, boards and accessories as well as general degreasing applications.
Electrolube debut coatings & resins at electronica 2014
At electronica 2014, last week, Electrolube exhibited for the first time. In Hall A6, which was dedicated to the automotive sector, the company presented its conformal coatings, resins and contact lubricant products. Hall B1 was dedicated to sensors, micro- and nano-systems, MEMS technologies and electromechanical/system peripherals, where Electrolube demonstrated its capabilities in thermal management.
Resin protects sensor designed for hazardous locations
The UR5604 polyurethane resin, manufactured by Electrolube, has been chosen for use with a sensor designed for hazardous locations. The sensor's electronics, which are in the form of a PCB, needed to be protected from adverse atmospheric conditions but also meet the requirements of the hazardous location.
