IP67 wire-to wire & wire-to-board connectors are water- & dust-proof

Magnetic jack connectors integrate ten sensitive discrete components

  Extending its family of connectors, EDAC now provides connectors for telcomms, networking and entertainment applications with the addition of a range of magnetic jack connectors that integrate up to ten of the most sensitive discrete components inside a shielded RJ45 housing.

Wire-to-board connectors carry IP67 designation

The E-Seal range of ingress protected (IP) connectors has been enhanced by EDAC Europe with the introduction of new water, mist and dust-proof wire-to-board and in-line plug & socket connectors. The IP code is used to define the level of environmental protection provided by electrical equipment enclosures.

EDAC strengthens European management team

Connector specialist group EDAC has restructured its European sales and customer-service operations with one promotion and the addition of two key team members. According to Alex Grout - who took over the role of European Managing Director last April - the new appointments have been necessitated by the business upswing that has resulted from a significantly enhanced product portfolio and the company's acquisition of UK company MH Connectors.

EDAC 2007 European Distributor of the Year Announced

Electronic interconnect manufacturer, EDAC, has announced that Flint Distribution has been awarded its European Distributor of the Year award for 2007. Commenting on the announcement, Edac’s European Managing Director, Andy King, said “We are very pleased to see Flint pick up this award for an unprecedented second consecutive year”. “There was some stiff competition in 2007 and the result was close-run”.

Ultra-slim, 15-way VGA Connector

Edac has added to its range of D-Subminiature products with an ultra-slim, 15 circuit, high-density, R/A, VGA connector. The insulator thickness, behind the front shell, is just 4.7mm.
