DroneGun Tactical selected by EU police

DroneShield has announced that following a competitive tender, its DroneGun Tactical product was selected as the preferred solution by the European Union police forces. The process was run by Belgium Police, with an EU-wide framework. Sales, training and local support will be managed by DroneShield’s Benelux region partner ForcePro BV.

DroneShield has announced the release of the next generation version of its body-worn drone detection device, RfPatrol MKII. The original RfPatrol was released in May 2019, having proven to be a well-regarded product, with purchases by a number of high profile customers around the world.

DroneShield product suite accepted to GSA Schedule

DroneShield has announced that its full product suite has been approved for placement on, and placed on, the GSA Schedule. The GSA (General Services Administration) is an agency of the United States government that supplies products for US government offices and operates the Federal Acquisition Service (the FAS). As part of this effort, it maintains the GSA Schedule, which other US government agencies can use to buy goods and services.

Incidents underscore need for drone detection at airports

  Global provider of drone detection and mitigation products, DroneShield has recently noted multiple media reports of a video recently recorded by an unknown drone pilot flying his or her drone disturbingly close to a Frontier Airlines passenger jet as it came in to land at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

Compact detection radar detects drones up to 750m away

DroneShield has announced the launch of RadarZero, a compact drone detection radar product. At roughly the size of a paperback book, the product can detect drones up to 750m away and sells for a fraction of the cost of the larger longer-range more conventional radars. Because of its small formfactor, RadarZero is portable and mobile.

Are drones just a catastrophe waiting to happen?

  Provider of drone detection and mitigation products, DroneShield has noted a New York Post report on a collision between a US Army Black Hawk helicopter and a rogue drone over Staten Island in New York. The Army helicopter is understood to have conducted an emergency landing following the collision, and the authorities are investigating the incident.
