PCIe 5.0 clock generators offer forward compatibility
Diodes Incorporated has announced the company's first families of clock generators and clock buffers that meet PCIe 5.0 specifications while still complying with PCIe 4.0 and previous generations. This gives product developers the forward compatibility they require when developing server, storage, and networking equipment for datacenters that today use PCIe 4.0 but must be ready for the widespread roll-out of PCIe 5.0.
ReDrivers boost signal of high-speed USB interfaces
Diodes Incorporated has introduced a series of USB ReDrivers for the industrial, embedded, and consumer market segments. The PI3EQX1004E and PI3EQX1002E are USB 3.2 compliant, 5Gbps to 10Gbps, 2-Port/1-Port, linear ReDrivers. The devices provide adjustable linear equalisation, output swing, and flat gain to optimise performance over a variety of physical media by reducing intersymbol interference.
MOSFET driver for synchronous rectification supports CCM
Diodes Incorporated has announced the introduction of the APR348 secondary-side, multi-mode synchronous rectification MOSFET driver, designed for AC/DC rectification circuits in general consumer applications, notebooks, and USB adapters.
Real-time clocks offer low-standby current
Diodes Incorporated has announced that automotive-compliant versions of its popular, low-power, real-time clock (RTC) solutions, PT7C4363BQ and PT7C4563BQ (with an adjustable timer), are now available. Their wide temperature range makes them suitable for automotive applications, including infotainment systems, dashboard displays, and telematics boxes (T-Box).
Ultra-low dropout linear LED driver extends lighting strips
Diodes Incorporated has announced the BCR430UW6 linear LED driver with ultra-low dropout voltage and constant current regulation between five and 100mA. This combination allows more LEDs to be driven from a low supply voltage, making the BCR430UW6 suitable for applications that require multiple LEDs to operate together, such as signage illumination and architectural lighting.
High-side load switch with slew rate control improves reliability
Diodes Incorporated has announced the introduction of the AP22913, a 2.0A single-channel, slew-rate-controlled load switch with true reverse current blocking (TRCB) for high-side load-switching applications. Single-channel high-side load switches provide an effective way of applying or removing power to a load, particularly to removable peripherals powered through a USB port.
Sounder drive enables audio UI in sensors and wearables
Diodes Incorporated has announced an enhanced version of its sounder driver for small and portable devices. The PAM8904E delivers higher performance at a lower voltage in a smaller package. Miniature piezo and ceramic sounders are now used extensively in trackers, alarms, health monitors, security devices, and smart sensors as a form of audio user interface.
Simple, robust solutions for automotive LED lamps
Diodes Incorporated has announced the AL8843Q and AL8862Q automotive-compliant DC/DC buck converters, designed for driving single LEDs and multiple LED strings in and around vehicles. Applications include daytime running lights (DRL), which many manufacturers now offer as standard, as well as fog lights, turn lights, and brake/stop lights.
High-speed crossbar switch supports signal routing
Diodes Incorporated has announced, at USB Developer Days, the PI3DBS16222 crossbar switch for high-speed differential and serial signals. Optimised for the latest protocols, it provides a solution to routing high-speed signals up to 20Gbps around high-performance electronic equipment, from personal computers and mobile devices to network switch backplanes and high-end test tools.

The packet switches are automotive-compliant for use in telematics/ADAS, navigation systems, in-vehicle wireless routers, and emerging applications such as V2V and V2X communications.
Bringing synchronisation to digital electronics
Most electronic systems that you design or use will have one or more oscillators to provide a clock to synchronise operations, act as a frequency reference or enable accurate timing. This article discusses the advantages of quartz crystal oscillators, and some of the choices available. Qin Zhuang, Applications Engineering Manager, Diodes Incorporated explains.
Helping networks adopt optical interfaces
The demand for greater bandwidth is present in all applications but nowhere is this more apparent than in telecommunications and data communications infrastructures. The use of fibre optics is an effective way of adding bandwidth, but it comes with the requirement of a transceiver module to terminate each end of the cable.
