Designed to improve power supply efficiency and performance in 5.5W chargers, ADSL adapters and home appliance supplies, Diodes Incorporated introduces an off-line, side-switching controller. The AP3988 regulates output voltage using piece-wide pulse frequency modulation, in which analogue levels are represented as fixed-duration pulses of varying repetition rate.

Motor Driver Makes Smarter Cooling Systems

By enabling the speed of fans, blowers and extractors to be simultaneously controlled by both PWM and thermistor input signals, the AM4964 motor driver helps create more responsive cooling systems for PCs, servers and industrial instrumentation.
