The West African solar energy company Daystar Power has installed the 100th solar power system since the company was founded in 2017. With the implementation of the solar energy system at a branch of Unity Bank in Bauchi, Nigeria, Daystar Power successfully installed its 100th solar power system since the companies’ foundation in 2017.

The West African solar energy company, Daystar Power, has partnered with Trine a Swedish investment platform to finance solar power systems in West Africa. The partnership opens up investments in Daystar Power’s solar power installations, previously limited to large-scale investors, to the wider public.

The Nigerian Agricultural Bank, Bank of Agriculture and the African electricity supplier, Daystar Power have entered into a comprehensive cooperation for rural electrification in Nigeria. The cooperation includes the supply of solar power to the bank branches as well as a concept for the supply of electricity to rural Nigeria. Since 1972, the Bank of Agriculture has been Nigeria's financial institution committed to rural development.

It has been announced that the Bundeswehr has commissioned solar power plants at three locations in Nigeria and has since supplied itself with solar energy. The plants at the Bundeswehr locations Abuja and Jaji have a total output of 103.08KW and have been in operation since November 2017.
