5Gbps controller selected for 40 Megapixel camera
EZ-USB CX3, a camera controller from Cypress Semiconductor, has been selected by Raytrix for its R42 3-D Light Field Camera. The CX3 controller, which delivers 5Gbps performance to the R42 camera, is now in full production. Leveraging the controller's throughput to provide 3D images with extended depth-of-field, the camera supports up to 40MP resolution and 4,000 images.
On-chip ECC improves reliability for Asynchronous SRAMs
Simplifying designs and reducing board space, Cypress Semiconductor has introduced a 16Mb Fast Asynchronous SRAM with ECC (Error-Correcting Code). Without the need for additional error correction chips, the on-chip ECC feature allows the SRAMs to provide high levels of data reliability.
2.4GHz transceiver enables three year battery life for HIDs
Featuring a 2Mbps data rate to speed transmitting and receiving, Cypress Semiconductor has announced 2.4GHz WirelessUSB radio-on-a-chip. The WirelessUSB NX transceiver enables up to three years of battery life for wireless mice, keyboards, trackpads, remote controls and other HIDs (Human Interface Devices).
16Mb parallel nvSRAM offers 25ns access times
Extending the company's nonvolatile Static Random Access Memory (nvSRAM) portfolio, Cypress Semiconductor has announced the 16Mb nvSRAM family. These devices target mission-critical applications including high-end PLCs, high-speed data/error loggers in storage equipment, networking equipment, avionics systems and electronic gaming machines.

Supply partnership enables ROIC manufacturing

USB 3.0 controller enables HD video capture
AVerMedia Technologies has selected Cypress’s EZ-USB FX3 USB 3.0 controller for its HD video capture card, the ExtremeCap U3. The card leverages the EZ-USB FX3 as a USB 3.0 device bridge with bandwidth of 5 Gbps, enabling it to record and stream game play at Full-HD resolution (1920 x 1080) and 60 fps via HDMI or other component inputs, without requiring compression that degrades image quality.
TrueTouch controllers support Fujifilm mesh sensors
