The power of PTC technology has helped CUPRA, a Spanish automotive brand with a clear focus in racing, build the first ever 100% electric racecar.

Fast times, thrilling races, strong teamwork and a bit of drama here and there – this season opener of ABT CUPRA XE already whets the appetite for the next races. 

It is getting serious: After the big team presentation two weeks ago in Barcelona, Jutta Kleinschmidt and Nasser Al-Attiyah will start their first race event together this coming weekend (February 19 and 20).

What is believed to be the world’s first fully electric touring car, the CUPRA e-Racer, has been put through its paces on the track for the first time by official CUPRA driver, Mattias Ekström. The remarkable 670hp electric racer is set to compete in a new ETCR race series in 2020 and has now completed its first full-speed laps around the Montmeló Circuit in Barcelona.
