Power supplies for ITE, industrial and consumer applications
Operating from inputs of 30-85W, the VOF series of compact, open frame AC-DC power supplies has been announced by CUI. The single-output supplies deliver higher efficiencies, improved no-load performances, and a boost in power versus the previous generation, making them suited for use in ITE, industrial, and consumer electronics applications.
DIN rail DC/DC converter for industrial environments
Housed in a slim 76x31.5x25.8mm (2.99x1.24x1.02") DIN-Rail package, CUI has announced a family of compact DIN rail DC/DC converters. The family’s 47 modules, across three series - PYB10-DIN, PYB15-DIN and PYB20-DIN - have been designed for applications where the convenience of DIN rail mounting is required, such as industrial equipment, mobile equipment, and telecomms base stations.
Intermediate bus converter delivers 27.2 W/cm3 power density
Specifically created to address the rising power requirements and efficiency demands in telecomm systems and data centres, CUI has introduced its second-generation high density isolated intermediate bus converter (IBC) family. The NQBS modules deliver a power density of 27.2 W/cm3 (445 W/in3) and efficiencies in excess of 96% in a quarter brick package.
Module addresses power challenges in distributed power architectures
A family of digital PoL load DC/DC modules, which address the rapidly-rising power challenges in distributed power architectures, has been announced by CUI. The NDM3ZS-60 is a non-isolated module outputting 60A in ultra low-profile vertical and horizontal packages.
Coverters increase efficiency across entire load curve
Two isolated DC/DC converter familes, designated the PQMC3-S and PQM3-M Series, have been announced by CUI. The converters increase total efficiency across the entire load curve and deliver improved performance at light and no loads. The coverters have been designed for battery-powered applications where power draw under these conditions are a concern.
CUI Étend Son Support Et Son Engagement En Europe Et Nomme Un Directeur Commercial EMEA
CUI Inc annonce l’arrivée de Neil Whittington au poste de directeur commercial EMEA. Cette nomination fait partie des actions menées par CUI pour accroître sa présence en Europe et renforcer le support de ses clients européens.
One of the industry's smallest 50 W DC-DC converters
CUI introduce the new PQA50-D, one of the smallest 50 W DC-DC converters in the industry. Ideally suited for IT equipment, telecom and industrial systems, the PQA50-D DC-DC converter series is a low cost, high performance family with a 50.8 mm x 25.4 mm (2 x 1 inch) footprint - an industry standard size for less powerful devices.
Alimentations AC-DC 100 W Ultra Minces De CUI
EM compatibility considerations for switching power supplies
Switching power supplies generate Electromagnetic Interference by virtue of their inherent design characteristics. Internal switching power supply circuits that generate undesirable emissions that are rich in harmonics can cause electrical interference both internally to the circuit in which the power supply is installed and to other electronic equipment in the vicinity of the emission source.
CUI introduce 5 Watt ultra-compact USB power adapter
CUI has today announced the release of a new ultra-compact 5 W wall plug adapter with integrated USB connector, the EPSA050100U-I38-EJ. With a footprint of just 41 x 30 mm (1.61 x 1.18 inches), the adapter is among the industry’s smallest AC-DC power supplies to integrate USB.
10 W - 30 W DC-DC converters for battery-driven applications
CUI introduce the new high efficiency PYB DC-DC converter family. Housed in board mount packages with six-sided shielding, the new family offers an output power range of 10 W - 30 W across four series and features an ultra-wide, 4:1 input range. Efficiencies are also increased significantly over previous generations reaching 91%, up 3 percentage points.
Miniature SIP Ac-Dc Power Supplies Maximize Board Space
CUI Inc launched their smallest AC/DC power supplies yet with the release of the PBK ultra-compact SIP series. Available in 1 W, 3 W, and 5 W families, the modules measure as small as 1.38 x 0.43 x 0.94 in. (35 x 11 x 24 mm), occupying less pcb real-estate than other conventional ac-dc power supplies, thus allowing designers to fully maximize space where on-board ac-dc power conversion is required. Today, CUI Inc launched their smallest ac-dc ...
CUI “Power Factor and Power Factor Correction” application note
Long gone are the days when only engineers that worked with large electric motors and high power electric loads need worry about power factor. The introduction of switching power supplies into electronic systems has led to increasing international legislation, moving power factor up the list as a key concern for most engineers developing systems that run on ac mains power. This paper will help you understand power factor and its implications...
