Oscillator enables ultra-low phase noise performance
Crystek continues to push the limits of ultra-low phase noise performance with the release of the CVPD-922 Family. This voltage controlled LVPECL oscillator outperforms other LVPECL phase noise oscillators. Close-in phase noise has been reduced to -85dBc/Hz at 10Hz offset while the noise floor is at -162dBc/Hz.

Crystek Corporation has launched the CVPD-952, a ultra-low phase noise LVPECL oscillator providing a -163dBc/Hz noise floor at 40MHz. Compact and powerful, the CVPD-952 provides extremely low phase noise for an LVPECL oscillator, which translates to a typical phase jitter of 75fs (12kHz to 20MHz). The CVPD-952 offers a frequency range from 131 to 200MHz.

Crystek Microwave announces the release of a 2.5GHZ Phase Locked Clock Source with internal reference, the CRFS75-2500. Crystek designed the module using proprietary circuitry and Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) resonator technology to provide ultra-low jitter/phase noise performance with true SineWave output. The resulting source features -105dBc/Hz phase noise at 10KHz offset and a noise floor of -167dBc/Hz.

Compact and powerful, the CCPD-575 ultra-low phase noise LVPECL oscillator, introduced by Crystek, provides a -162dBc/Hz noise floor. The CCPD-575 is claimed to have an industry leading phase noise for an LVPECL oscillator – at least 15dB lower phase noise than most LVPECL oscillators on the market today. Close-in phase noise is also excellent at -90dBc/Hz for the 100MHz variant.

This overall ultra-low phase noise translates to a typical phase jitter of 85fs (12kHz to 20MHz). According to the manufacturer, the compact and powerful CVPD-922 provides the lowest phase noise for an LVPECL oscillator in the industry.

Crystek Corporation has launched the CVHD-952, an ultra-low phase noise HCMOS VCXO providing a -150 dBc/Hz noise floor. This overall ultra-low phase noise translates to a typical phase jitter of 0.5 per second (12kHz to 80MHz). Packaged in a 9x14mm SMD package, the CVHD-952 is available from 131 to 200MHz. Input supply voltage of 3.3VDC consuming 25mA of current is required.
