Connect One has introduced an IoT end-to-end platform to help customers bring IoT products to market faster. The iChipNet includes all the building blocks required for IoT product design, hardware, software and connectivity. Since industry IoT standards are not yet in place, end-to-end solutions from a single vendor can ensure interoperability so that components seamlessly ‘talk’ to each other.

To enable the development of M2M and IoT devices, Connect One has selected Broadcom’s BCM43362 WICED WiFi SoC for use within its G2 WiFi modules. Together with Connect One’s iChip Internet Controller, the SoC enables increased functionality and ease-of-integration in home automation, medical, security, industrial control, smart grid, asset management and POS. 

To support the latest 802.11b/g/n wireless standards for the IoT market, the G2 WiFi modules have been released by Connect One. The modules incorporate the latest wireless standards at up to 40% savings, while creating a no-change upgrade path for customers. Suitable applications include security, industrial control, smart grid, asset management and point of sale.

Connect One today released commercial-grade versions of its popular Nano WiReach and Nano Socket iWiFi modules at a 25% cost reduction. Unlike the original modules that were designed for harsher conditions and an extended temperature range (-20ºC to 75ºC), the commercial-grade modules deliver wireless connectivity environments to in-building or climate-controlled areas in a narrow temperature range (-10ºC to 65ºC).
