CRL win coworking space of the year
The Central Research Laboratory (CRL) has been awarded ‘co-working space of the year’ at The West London Business Awards ceremony, which took place on Thursday 1st February at Wembley Stadium. The CRL was created as a specialist space, dedicated to the unique requirements of makers and entrepreneurs, and has been an ambitious part of the regeneration of the wider Old Vinyl Factory site in Hayes.
Demo Day encourages start-ups to make history
Thursday 25th January saw the Central Research Laboratory (CRL) host its very first Demo Day which brought together eight start-ups who are currently on the Accelerator programme, to present a five minute pitch. The start-ups, who have been working on these pitches since they joined the programme, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund nearly six months ago, presented their ideas to a room full of people.
The Central Research Laboratory Accelerator programme is open again
The Central Research Laboratory (CRL) is once again open for applications to the Accelerator programme. Part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the programme supports the next generation of product-focused entrepreneurs, helping them to develop crucial areas of their business to help ‘accelerate’ growth and production.

A new group of entrepreneurs have been welcomed by the Central Research Laboratory (CRL) to its home of innovation. The candidates selected for the latest cohort represent some of the most exciting, diverse hardware-focused entrepreneurs in the UK, and cover all sectors from IoT and wearable technology to musical and educational tools.
