Thermal efficient MCPCB enters general lighting market
LED thermal management company, Cambridge Nanotherm has launched Nanotherm MCPCB - according to the company the lighting industry’s most thermally-efficient and most cost-effective metal-clad PCB. Thanks to a recent technological breakthrough regarding the company’s patented electro-chemical process, which creates a 20μ-thick dielectric layer of alumina atomically bonded to the aluminium board, Cambridge Nanotherm has bee...
The hot topic facing high power LEDs
There is a new approach to thermal management in HP LED substrates, explains Giles Humpston, Cambridge Nanotherm
Thermal management comparison puts Cambridge on top
Cambridge Nanotherm has published results of a round of testing of several thermal PCB materials intended for use in LEDs, including its Nanoceramic thermal management substrates. The tests were conducted by The LIA Laboratories and showed Cambridge Nanotherm’s thermal management technology outperforming all the thermal management substrates tested in terms of its thermal conductivity.
Workshop explores thermal management for LEDs
Cambridge Nanotherm will be hosting a workshop on Thermal Management for LEDs at the LED Light Experience & Control events hosted by Osram OptoElectronics in April. The event allows designers and engineers of both LEDs and luminaires to bring themselves up-to-speed on the latest developments in LED technology, as well as network with professionals in various fields of the LED industry.
Nanoceramic thermal management products in high demand
Cambridge Nanotherm has announced the switch-on of an electricity substation to cope with demand for its nanoceramic thermal management products. This development underlines Cambridge Nanotherm’s continuing strong expansion, particularly in the LED lighting field - where its technology allows designers to create brighter, longer-lasting and more cost-effective LED applications.
Cambridge Nanotherm Delivers First Commercial Order For Chip-On-Heatsink Technology
Cambridge Nanotherm has announced, in partnership with Optocap, that the first ever Chip-on-Heatsink modules ordered have been shipped to a customer in the LED industry. “As a design and assembly service provider we need to ensure we specify materials that will enhance our customers’ products,” said David Ruxton, CEO of Optocap. “We specified Cambridge Nanotherm’s technology due to the outstanding thermal performance it enables. It also...
