5G WiFi Wave 2 solutions target cloud WLAN markets

A family of 5G WiFi Wave 2 solutions, designed to deliver the quality, reliability and capacity required for all segments of the enterprise and cloud WLAN markets, has been released by Broadcom. The solutions include the BCM43465, a 4x4 11ac MU-MIMO, and the BCM43525, a 3x3 11ac MU-MIMO.

HEVC & UHD STB SoC NAGRA NOCS3 certification is industry's first

Ethernet switches meet bandwidth demands of 10G data centres

Optimised to meet the bandwidth, scalability and efficiency demands of 10GbE virtualised data centres, the Trident-II+ series of Ethernet switches has been released by Broadcom. The highly integrated devices, which expand the company’s StrataXGS Trident portfolio, offer 1.28Tb/s switching performance, 30% lower power and double the performance for data centre virtualisation overlays, such as VXLAN.

STB brings 60fps video in 10-bit colour to Chinese cable network

Broadcom has announced that Inspur Group, Shandong Cable Network's primary systems integrator, has selected Broadcom's Ultra HD SoC and Wi-Fi SoC for a new line of 4Kp60 cable STBs. Small cell SoCs enhance 4G LTE wireless broadband services

KT (formerly Korea Telecom), a Korean telecomms and internet company, has successfully deployed Broadcom's small cell SoC devices to enhance its high speed 4G LTE wireless broadband services. KT completed deployment and verification of its Broadcom-enabled small cells for commercial outdoor environments this quarter and plans to expand services to indoor residential locations in the second quarter of 2015.
