A new guide created by BRE National Solar Centre and carport design and manufacturing company, FlexiSolar looks at the best way to deliver multifunctional solar car parks that combine renewable energy generation with energy storage and EV charging points.

Two best practice guides launched in London by the BRE National Solar Centre will help solar PV installers and consumers select, install and operate battery storage systems so they work at optimum levels with Solar PV systems.

With support from the European Regional Development Fund, BRE established the National Solar Centre earlier this year in April. The aim of the project is to drive innovation, cost reduction and increased confidence in the photovoltaic marketplace through knowledge generation.
