BittWare has announced at the Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2015, on stand S4-453, two recent boards in its Altera Arria 10 FPGA product roadmap to complement their existing Arria 10 3U VPX and PCIe offerings. The A10PED and the A10XM4.
PCIe board is based on the Altera Arria 10 GT/GX FPGA
At the TERATEC 2015 Forum, BittWare showcased its first board based on the Altera Arria 10 GT/GX FPGA. The A10PL4 is a low-profile PCIe board that integrates the 20nm process technology of the Arria 10 with a wide variety of features and supports a range of challenging applications such as network processing and security, compute and storage, instrumentation, broadcast, and signals intelligence.
FPGA Development Kit designed for Altera FPGA boards
At the TERATEC 2015 Forum, BittWare announced the release of its FPGA Development Kit (FDK) for Altera FPGA boards. The kit provides FPGA board support IP and integration for BittWare's Altera FPGA-based boards. Built with Altera's Qsys system integration tool, the FDK is a library of FPGA components that includes preconfigured physical interfaces, infrastructure and examples.
Board integrates 20nm FPGA for 100/40/10GigE connectivity
At the 2015 HPC for Wall Street - Cloud Technology Show & Conference, BittWare announced the availability of its first board based on Altera's Arria 10 GT/GX FPGA. Integrating the 20nm process technology of the Arria 10 with a wide variety of features, the A10PL4 board supports a range of challenging applications such as network processing and security, compute and storage, instrumentation, broadcast, and signals intelligence.
PCIe board features Altera's Arria V GZ FPGA
A low-profile PCIe board, based on Altera's Arria V GZ FPGA, has been introduced by BittWare. The Arria V GZ provides a high level of system integration and flexibility for I/O, routing and processing that makes the A5-PCIe-S (A5PS) suitable for network processing, security, broadcast, and signals intelligence applications.
SDK provides glue between host application & hardware
BittWare has announced version 1.8 of its BittWorks II Toolkit, an SDK supporting its Arria V, Stratix V and soon-to-be released Arria 10 FPGA-based boards. Designed to make developing and debugging applications for BittWare's boards easy and efficient, the Toolkit is a collection of libraries and applications that provides the glue between the host application and the hardware.
Board family leverages Arria 10 FPGA capabilities
Based on Altera's Arria 10 FPGAs and SoCs, the A10 board family leverages Arria 10 FPGAs's capabilities to build solid platforms in a variety of formats, supporting a wide range of challenging applications. The A10 family, from BittWare, features flexible memory configurations, sophisticated clocking and timing options, QSFP28 cages that support 100Gbps (including 100GigE) optical transceivers, FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC), and support for the netwo...
Bittware, Tamba Networks ink VAR pact
BittWare and Tamba Networks have entered into a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) agreement. The Tamba Networks 1 to 400 Gigabit Universal Ethernet IP Core is one of the lowest latency and gate count solutions on the market, enabling a 10 GigE "FIFO+MAC+PCS" of approximately 25ns in an Altera Stratix V FPGA. This significantly decreases the round-trip delay wire-to-wire.
Expanded OpenCL support for Altera Stratix V FPGAs
BittWare has expanded its Open Computing Language support to additional Stratix V variants on their S5PH-Q PCI Express board. FPGA options now include GSMD5, GSED8, GXEA7 and GXEAB devices. Offering up to 16 GBytes of on-board DDR3 memory at 800MHz (1600 Mtps), S5PH-Q is a half-length PCIe x8 card. Two front-panel QSFP+ cages on the board allow implementation of two 40GigE (or eight 10GigE) interfaces direct to the FPGA for reduced latency.
Industry’s First PCI Express Dual Altera Stratix V COTS Board
BittWare have begun shipping the industry’s first PCI Express COTS board powered by two of Altera’s 28-nm Stratix V FPGAs. Designed for high-end applications, the Stratix V provides a high level of system integration and flexibility for I/O, routing, and processing. S5-PCIe-DS (S5PE-DS) is a Gen 3 PCIe x16 card with an extremely flexible memory configuration: eight SODIMM sites enabling up to 64 GBytes of DDR3 SDRAM, up to 4 GBytes of RLDRAM3...
